4G/3G Programmable Serial Modem with 6 x IO, RS232 & RS485

4G/3G Serial Modem

MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS

The MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS is an innovative and powerful all-in-one solution for the demanding M2M and IoT applications, enabling 4G/3G data transmission, MQTT, HTTP, CSD and SMS.

With Java J2ME programmabilty and multiple interfaces (RS232, RS485, USB, digital IO, analogue IO) users can avoid the need for further hardware, thereby shortening time to market and reducing costs. Modular architecture enables special versions (contact Australis M2M), with additional features including:
• GPS Module for tracking
• Wireless modules such as Wavenis or Bluetooth

The MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT-AUS modems are compatible with MTX-Tunnel, an optional firmware that can be executed in the MTX modems to use them as gateways, SMS alarm devices, data loggers and more.

MQTT Relay Control Using Mobile Phone

Scenario We wish to be able to activate/deactivate relay outputs from an Android, iPhone or other mobile device. The SIM card to be used is to be a standard private (NAT) dynamic IP SIM. Solution MTX-4G-JAVA-T AUS or MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS and MTX Tunnel Firmware. The solution is to use an MQTT broker, to which the intended mobile devices and the MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS modem are subscribed, the modem will then be able to receive commands sent via the broker for control […]

Serial Cable Replacement

Scenario We have 2 devices RS232 (115200.8, N, 1 flow control HW) linked by a serial cable through which data is sent. The intention is to replace this serial cable by a transparent RS232-4G-RS232 link. Solution 2 MTX-4G-JAVA-IOT AUS or MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS modems   +   MTX-Tunnel firmware The equipment does not contain a PC, nor is it intelligent, and the internal control programs cannot be changed. The equipment can be considered as “black boxes” with RS232 serial ports that cannot be […]

Product Applications

Modbus TCP/Modbus RTU

Scenario We need to monitor remote ModBus RTU devices with the RS485 port from a central Server which has a software application to control ModBus TCP. MTX-Tunnel will create a ModBus TCP/ModBus RTU GPRS gateway. Solution MTX-4G-JAVA-IOT AUS or MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS modems   +   MTX-Tunnel firmware ModBus remote devices to be available at all times, so the modem connected to those devices is permanently connected be IP waiting for incoming requests to the ModBus TCP port number 502. SIM cards provisioned […]

Advanced Serial-GPRS Tunnel Private DNS Server

Scenario We need to monitor 100 devices with the RS232 port (115200.8.N.1 and HW flow control) from a central control station using a GPRS link. This will be done with the MTX-Tunnel to act as a transparent serial GPRS tunnel. Solution MTX-4G-JAVA-T AUS or MTX-4G-JAVA-IoT AUS and MTX Tunnel Firmware. Details: Access to the RS232 remote devices at any time is mandatory. So the modem connected to the serial port device (which needs to be controlled) must remain permanently connected […]

Sending telemetries (GPIOs and ADCs values) to a Web server by HTTP

Scenario We want to monitor a water tank level. To do this, an analog input of a modem will be used. The modem will be always connected to 4G/3G and will use a dynamic IP address. The modem must take a measurement every 5 minutes and send it to a Web server via 4G/3G using HTTP GET to create a LOG file with the daily consumption statistics. Also, you need to be able to access the modem’s internal web server […]
