MIO alerta v2 4G SMS Alarm CatM/NBIoT

The MIO alerta v2 is a CatM/NBIoT 4G SMS alarm dialer, alarms can be triggered by:

• 4 x Digital inputs (expandable to 8)
• 1 x Analogue input (Expandable to 4)
• External temperature, pressure or other sensors via Modbus
  (contact Australis M2M for options)

There are two versions of the device available:

Base unit with 4 digital inputs, 1 analogue input and 1 relay output plus Modbus RS485 connectivity

OR

Unit fitted with Expansion board providing up to 8 digital inputs, 4 analogue inputs 4 relay outputs, 2 analogue outputs plus Modbus RS485 connectivity. Actual maximum number of channels usable for SMS alarms is 12 – refer to manual for details.

In addition to 4G SMS alarm functionality the unit can be used to control devices, such as a gate opener or irrigation pump, either from a server using MQTT/MQTTS or by simply using SMS from a phone.

When using SMS, alias commands are possible, for example the Word “PumpOn” sent by SMS could be used/translated by the device to turn on the units relay thereby starting a pump.

The unit includes an  XB3-C-GM2-UT-001 4G CatM/NBIoT cellular module from Digi International, this module includes Bluetooth which enables the use of a Android app to wirelessly program the device from an Android phone or tablet.
