Telstra 3G Closure Modem or Router Replacements

Telstra will be switching off 3G services from the 30th June 2024, this means that any device which is 3G only and/or does not have the appropriate 4G frequencies to fall back on, will stop functioning and needs to be replaced.

The quantity of devices that will need replacement is likely to be in the 1,000’s, as such product availability may become an issue, so its best to act early. In addition many devices are likely to require functionality that may not be supported in replacement devices, even replacement devices of the same brand/make.

Australis M2M are experienced in connecting devices and developing solutions for difficult applications, and our product range includes solutions for:

3G Serial Modems, such as devices connected to PLC’s, dataloggers and servers that are used as data links or for SMS alarm sending. We can even offer solutions where our device can “mimick” the responses to AT Commands sent from the parent device and requiring specific response to work correctly.

3G Routers, such as devices connected to security systems or cameras, remote signage, vehicle or traffic management etc, we have a range of routers from basic units through to devices with extended functionality such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Modbus logging etc.

Some examples of devices we can replace include:

  • Intelimax 3G serial modems and Smartmax 3G routers
  • SAM 3G Serial modems and eSAM, ultraSAM 3G routers
  • ETM9550, ETM9140 and ETM9300 serial modems and SMS alarms
  • EHS6T 3G serial modems
  • Digi 3G Transport routers
  • NTC3000, NTC4000 3G Serial Modems and NTC-5908, NTC-5909, NTC-6000 and NTC-6200 3G routers
